While I disagree with this lawyer calling another one a “scumbag,” our firm also often receives calls from injured workers whom have been given pretty bad legal advice.

Just earlier this year I met with an individual who stated they injured themselves at work and that they hired a T.V. law firm to represent him. He decided to look for another attorney when he was told by the lawyer working on his case that his case was worthless and that they should settle out for $1,000.00. We looked into the case, and found out that the injured workers’ employer had told some whopping lies about their injured employee, and based on said lies the television lawyer did not believe their client had an actionable case. It only took around 45 minutes to check into these lies and discover that they were indeed false, the T.V. firm just didn’t have the time to deal with a case that would take some effort. We filed suit and our client finally received the treatment and benefits they deserved.

Just because one lawyer or law firm opines that they do not believe you have an actionable workers compensation claim does not mean that you don’t. If you have been told this-you should get a second opinion.
