Virtual Appointments-the New Way to Meet a Lawyer

Virtual Appointments-the New Way to Meet a Lawyer

The nation, and the world, has been turned upside down by the coronavirus pandemic.  Over a quarter of a million Americans have died of COVID related illnesses and spikes in the infection rates are rising in Europe and the States; people are still understandably wary of having meetings in closed areas.  Fortunately, over the last 7 months Zoom has arrived as a way for people to engage with others from the safety of home, and at Powell and Denny, we have incorporated using Zoom as a way to meet with our clients and with new, prospective clients.

Zoom is a computer program that allows persons to see and speak with each other from the safety, convenience and comfort of their homes.  This better protects our clients and our staff, while allowing our clients and prospective new clients to actually see us instead of just hearing our voices over the phone.  We believe that these virtual meetings help our clients form a stronger relationship with the attorney who will be representing them, and help them feel more comfortable with their legal team.  There is something about being able to look at someone in the eyes that cannot be replaced by a simple telephone conversation.

We have been signing up new clients, meeting and preparing current clients for hearings and depositions, and conducting Court hearings since the pandemic began, and our clients seem to like and appreciate these video conferences.  Moreover, the ability to have virtual meetings allows injured workers and those seeking disability benefits from all over Alabama to meet with, hire and get the benefit of the 28+ years of experience the lawyers at Powell and Denny have in handling workers’ compensation and Social Security Disability claims without having to worry about the distance from their homes to our offices.  For over 28 years, the knowledgeable Alabama Workers Compensation and Alabama Disability Attorneys at Powell and Denny have successfully represented injured and disabled workers throughout Alabama+.  Now, it is easier to hire us to help you with your claim regardless of where you live in the State.

If you would like to meet with one of our experienced Alabama Workers Compensation or Alabama Disability Attorneys-we can easily do so while ensuring that you are not unnecessarily exposed to the coronavirus.  We can email, fax or mail any needed paperwork to you and handle the case virtually until you are comfortable coming in to meet with us in person.

If you have questions about your right to Alabama Workers’ Compensation benefits, or Social Security Disability or SSI benefits, don’t hesitate to contact the experienced attorneys at Powell and Denny today to schedule a virtual appointment or a face-to-face meeting for a free consultation.
