Tow Truck Operators: 4th Most Dangerous Job in America:

Tow Truck Operators: 4th Most Dangerous Job in America:

Did you know that according to a 2016 study by The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (a federal agency under the United States Department of Health and Human Services), being a Tow Truck Driver is the Fourth Most Dangerous Job in the U.S. (click here to read article)? Only pilots, roofers and fishermen had higher death rates if that statistic is compared to figures of other jobs considered by the Bureau of Labor Statistics for 2017.

I have to admit that I had no idea, but upon a moment of reflection-I can easily see how this is true. Every time there is an automobile accident, along with the First Responders (Police, Fire Department and Paramedics), you are bound to see a Tow Truck Driver. Working in the middle of the road, with cars whizzing by is dangerous enough, but then you have to include the lifting, crouching and crawling that are also part of the job, and it is easy to see why this job is so dangerous.

If you come upon an accident site—SLOW DOWN. I know that it can be annoying to have your schedule upset, but good people are working and their lives are in danger.
