Drowsy Driving:  According to a 2012 report by the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety, two of every five drivers (41%) admit to having fallen asleep at the wheel.  Furthermore, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reports that an estimated 100,000 wrecks occur yearly as a result of driver fatigue, with an estimated 1,550 traffic fatalities resulting from drowsy driving.

One report from France indicated that driving while fatigued was almost as bad as driving under the influence when it comes to reaction time and judgment, yet for some reason driving while fatigued is not seen in the same dangerous light as driving under the influence, and in today’s society 10% of adults state that they are chronically sleep deprived.
