Alabama Workmans Compensation Lawyer What you are up against

Alabama Workmans Compensation Lawyer What you are up against

Alabama Workmans Compensation Lawyer. Another reason why you may need the help of an experienced workmans compensation lawyer. Not long ago I read an article explaining how the California Applicant's Attorneys' Association (CAAA) was pushing for California to bring criminal charges against Sedgwick Claims Management Services and the adjuster who handled a workers compensation claim for Mr. Charles Romano.

Mr. Romano had suffered a compensable job injury and ended up having surgery for his shoulder injury. Mr. Romano contracted MRSA during his surgery, but in an effort to save money, Sedgwick fought tooth and nail against paying for any of Mr. Romano's necessary medical treatment. Even after the court ordered them to pay, they found any reason possible to refuse to pay for Mr. Romano's medical treatment. Unfortunately, given the lack of medical care, Mr. Romano died. This is why the California plaintiff's bar is pushing for criminal charges to be brought against Sedgwick Claims and the adjuster who refused to provide Mr. Romano with the medical treatment he so desperately needed.

Similar things happen in Alabama every day. An injured worker is told that they need surgery, the workers compensation insurance carrier requests a utilization review to enable them to have grounds for denying the surgery, or the insurance carrier tries to trick the injured worker into seeing another doctor so they can have someone saying the needed treatment really is not required. You have to remember that insurance companies make incredible amounts of money by NOT paying money to injured workers. The less in medical benefits they pay out, the more the dividends their shareholders receive.

If you suffered a serious work injury, you owe it to yourself and your family to at least consult with an experienced Alabama workmans compensation lawyer.

If you were hurt at work and you have questions about your right to Alabama Workers Compensation benefits, please do not hesitate to contact and speak with one of the experienced Alabama Workmans Compensation Lawyers at Powell and Denny. You don't have to face the insurance company alone.
